Chinese share prices continued to rise on Monday, with the key Shanghai Composite Index closing at above 5,300 points for the first time.
The Index, which covers A and B shares traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, closed at 5321.06 points, up 102.23 points or 1.96 percent from the previous close.
The Shenzhen Component Index was up 291.93 points, or 1.63 percent to close at a record 18,164.04 points.
The combined turnover of the two bourses stood at 293.36 billion yuan (39.11 billion U.S. dollars), compared with 246.1 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
